Although, if by some chance your STR wasn't enough, just give some items to the other companions earlier who followed Tartuccio and sell them later. Restov → Oleg's Trading post - After killing and stealing in Restov you're going to get encumbrance even with max STR and the first random encounter will always happen while you travel this route so this is where Enlarge Person comes in (sure you can use items to do this if you don't want to play as a magic user, but as a sorcerer I sell everything and just keep the best armor, weapons, and quest items), this spell increases your STR, in my party I had Linzi, Amiri, and Valerie, but despite having Linzi, this is still effective, I was able to get out of the Random Map without dropping any loot. Beyond that, there's no problem at all since you have 3 months before you actually need to defeat the Stag Lord, but there's a reward if you finish him earlier and you don't have to miss out on loot, side quests and Yellow Locations.Īlso, there's this one exploit that you need to use in order to get all the loot, so I recommend that at least 2 members of your party has the Enlarge Person Spell (and Bull's Strength later on), and your character needs to max out on STR as well. For those who are new to the game, the time limit I'm referring to is the first 30 days you can spend to get the sword. Although, I was doing this on easy mode, and I'm not sure if hardcore players are going to bode well with this tip, but following the yellow lines gives you an extra 7 days before the time limit runs out (in my case it was 7 days and 22 hours).
It's possible to actually visit all the yellow locations, while getting all the loot and fight off random encounters with little to no resting (just don't rest even if your party is exhausted). Don't bother going near the blue locations, it can't be accessed until the Stag Lord is dead.
